This Journey Ends

No better way to start.

~Marlboro College, VT

To those of you who know me, and those of you that don’t, you should know by now that I have been traveling for some distance and time. Until know, there has been little script of it, and I’m constantly tempted to make this blog about recounting some of the best moments and details absorbed over the years. But instead, I’m convinced that this should instead be about the here and now –as it happens. Sincere apologies should any lingering details from the past sleaze in along the way.

So I hate doing this. The writing part. And part of what’s kept me from doing this for so long is how much I hate it. That and being in school. Specifically, I hate the perception of self-aggrandizing that comes with promoting yourself on the Internet. And the school excuse is gone now. So, here’s to admitting that I don’t think that anyone is going to be better off for having read this. I also don’t think that’s what this should be about.

The point is, I guess, to stand to show what I’ve gotten from around the world. A dozen or so times. And the “why exactly” isn’t so important that is right now, but there’s no denying that a berth of oft-diverse experience hasn’t been the worst thing to have as a young adult… getting ready to ditch the “young” part, by the way. So, come along for a little, come hang out.

It’s a journey.
